Decades in restaurants. Decades on stages. Banana Land's his favorite of both.

Bobby Joe's been playing gigs and working restaurants for longer than most of the neighborhood's been alive, and Banana Land's landed at the top of his rotation — mostly because Kris keeps the bar stocked and the mic on.

He and Kris go way back, long before either of them worked a room for a living. These days it's less "friend who plays here" and more fixture — Bobby Joe shows up, plugs in, and the bar just feels like it's supposed to sound that way.
